We are all made of energy. In fact, our bodies are designed to receive, process and store energy.  This system of energy processing is called the Chakra System.  Chakra is an ancient Sanskrit word that means “wheel”, and the charkas in our bodies are spinning wheels of energy.  When in balance, you experience a sense of oneness with the Universe, and optimum health.  However, with the stresses of our modern lives, it is easy to be imbalanced and off center.

There are seven major chakras in the body.

The Root chakra mediates your sense of belonging and security in the world.  Do you feel safe?  Do you feel connected?   To feel more grounded you need to focus on the Root chakra  which is associated with the color RED.

The Sacral chakra mediates the areas of you life governing pleasure.  Do you allow yourself to give and receive pleasure in your life?  If not, you made need help balancing the Sacral  chakra, which is associated with the color ORANGE.

The Solar Plexus charka mediates you own personal power.  Do you use too much?  Do you give it away?  Do you feel things are at times out of your hands?  If so, your Solar Plexus chakra, your soul fire, may be imbalanced.  The Solar Plexus chakra is associated with the color of the sun, YELLOW.

The Heart chakra is where we all should live.  It governs how we give and receive love.  How you handle others depends on a healthy Heart chakra. This is the seat of compassion for others and yourself.  Do you love with an open heart? Are you afraid to open your heart to others?  A balanced Heart chakra leads to a truly blissful life.  The Heart chakra is represented by the color GREEN.

The Throat chakra mediates your voice and your truth.  This is where the world hears your personal message.  Are speaking your truth?  Are you authentic in how you represent your truth?  Do you need help finding your voice?  Many of us do. A balanced Throat chakra makes your voice ring clear and true.  The Throat chakra is associated with the color BLUE.

The Third Eye chakra houses intuition.  Most women are strong here, but don’t always honor the power of their third eye.  Here lies your bridge between this world and the spiritual world.  A balanced third eye allows you to fully intuit the knowledge of the Universe around you.  You will be able to “see” more clearly how your life and the lives of others are connected.  A balanced third eye brings peace and understanding.  The Third Eye chakra is associated with the color INDIGO.

The Crown chakra is heaven on Earth. This is where Divine communication takes place.  We are all a part of the Divine and the Crown chakra is the link.   It is where the Universe and you become one.

The Crown chakra is associated with VIOLET and  pure WHITE light.
